Dr. Toy Holland was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa, and received a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology and chemistry. She went on to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Holland has been a practicing optometrist both in Columbiana, Alabama and in Alabaster, Alabama for the past twenty years. She is actively involved in Alabaster community events, has been the vice president of the Alabaster Civitans International, and past president of Developing Alabama’s Youth. She provides vision screenings to the Shelby County School System.
Dr. Toy Holland began partnering with VisionFirst Eye Center in 2004. She specializes in surgical co-management of cataract and LASIK patients, treating eye injuries, and in managing glaucoma. Dr. Holland has twenty years of experience in fitting contact lenses and eyeglasses.
Dr. Toy Holland lives in Mountain Brook with her husband, David, and her son, David Raines.
